The lumo conservancy has drilled boreholes for the wildlife to keep them in the park and stop to them from wondering outside the reserve and into area inhabited by humans.

Plans are in place for the construction of more dams and boreholes as well as desilting existing dams to make them more drinkable.

Lumo conservancy has been drilling boreholes for the communities as well.

Currently 4 bores have been drilled with 2 being fully operational.

Dams constructed are such as sparki dam, itinyi dam, shangadonyi damn, ighonyi dams,  mweke dam, wapuhenyi dam and izerenyi.

Housing projects have 8 rooms to accommodate international voluteers.
