The Challenge

Despite the presence of a healthcare system, certain barriers hinder residents from accessing adequate medical care, including limited accessibility due to geographical remoteness and inadequate infrastructure, financial constraints making healthcare services expensive, and potential inadequacies in quality and availability of facilities and personnel.

Our Response

In response to the healthcare challenge in our community, a collaborative effort was initiated between the conservancy, Sunworld Safaris, Community & Wildlife Conservation, and Ol Malaika Trust. Together, we established a program to provide free medical services to the community at the grassroots level. Through bi-annual medical camps held every year, doctors are dispatched to the community to offer a range of medical services completely free of charge. This initiative aims to address the gaps in healthcare accessibility and affordability, ensuring that all members of the community have access to essential medical care regardless of financial constraints. By leveraging partnerships and mobilizing resources, we are committed to improving the overall health and well-being of the LUMO community.

Our Impact

Over the past 3 years since 2021, a total of 6 medical camps have been organized, providing free medical services to  over 400 residents in the community

We invite you to join us in our mission to provide quality, accessible, and free medical services to our community. Whether through financial donations, volunteering your time and expertise, or simply spreading awareness about our medical camps and initiatives, your support helps ensure that every member of our community has access to essential healthcare.
